Privacy

Short, because there is very little to describe.

Looking for the Mentionable extension policy?

The Chrome extension has its own, more detailed policy covering its permissions and every network request it can make: the Mentionable privacy policy. This page covers this website and the general behaviour of all the extensions.

This website

This site is static HTML and CSS. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts and embeds no fonts, images or trackers from other domains. Nothing on it needs JavaScript. The hosting provider keeps ordinary server request logs, which we do not analyse or connect to anything.

The extensions

None of the extensions — the VS Code ones or the Chrome one — collects telemetry, analytics, usage statistics or crash reports. There is no opt-out because there is nothing to opt out of.

The single exception, in each product, is licence activation: if you run the “Enter Pro License Key” command, the extension sends the key you typed plus a random anonymous install identifier to the Levelbrook licensing service, and receives a signed entitlement token. Nothing else is sent, and nothing at all is sent if you never enter a key. After activation, verification happens offline on your own machine.

The data these tools record about your work — tracked time, request history, scan results — stays on your machine, in files you can read, export and delete.

Mentionable, the Chrome extension, is the one with a second party in the picture, because you point it at an AI provider using your own API key. Your key and your prompt go from your browser directly to the provider you chose; they never pass through anything we operate. The full detail, including every permission and every request the extension can make, is in its own privacy policy.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe, who act as the payment processor and handle your card details. We never see or store a card number. We hold the email address you used at checkout, so that a licence key can be issued and later recovered.

Your rights, and how to use them

Mail team@levelbrook.com to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. There is no form and no account to log into. Deleting your record removes the ability to recover a lost key, so we will say so before doing it.
